Our laboratory is equipped with multiple detectors including, Variable Wavelength (VWD), Diode Array (DAD), Charged aerosol (CAD) and fluorescence (FLD) to accurately quantitate semi- and non-volatile compounds.

High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) – Allows quantitation of analytes with identification based on retention time of known standards. Detection systems available include Ultraviolet-visible (UV-Vis) spectroscopy, which relies on the analyte having a chromophore, fluorescence, which relies on absorption of emitted light, or charged aerosol detection (CAD), which can be used for those analytes that do not exhibit a chromophore or fluorescence.

Ultra High Performance Liquid Chromatography (UHPLC) – Based on the same principles used in HPLC, the UPLC uses shorter separations columns, but allows for better peak resolution and sensitivity, shorter analysis time, and less solvent and therefore less chemical waste. The UPLC can be paired with a variety of detectors, such as UV-Vis and CAD providing greater versatility.

CA Analytical also offers method development and optimization services based on USP <621> to convert legacy HPLC methods into more efficient and robust UHPLC methods.
